On Monday, 28th September 2020, Silver Strikers Company Limited stakeholders made a courtesy call to the Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Ulemu Musangama. M.P.  at his office in Lilongwe.

The entourage comprised of Dr Victor Madhlopa who is the Board of Directors Chairperson, Mr Mayamiko Mwinjilo- Board Member, Mr Owen Chona Phiri- Board Member, Mr Daniel Kabwe – Firsts Team Coach, Mr King Malaya – Supporter’s Liaison Officer and Thokozani Chimbali- Company CEO.

In his submission the Chairperson of The Board of Directors, Dr Madhlopa congratulated the minister for his ascendence to the position of Minister and appreciated the efforts being made by his ministry to uplift sport in the country. He also thanked the minister for coming out in the open declaring his admiration and support for Silver Strikers Football Club. The minister indicated that he started supporting Silver Strikers FC at a very tender age and that’s the only team he has supported in his life. He recollected names of the players he has grown up watching; Chite, Donnex, Zex, Yugo, Fazili, Songo.

The minister then pleaded with the delegates to pay attention to the welfare of athletes; both within and without the pitch. He stimulated the delegation to be innovative in inventing deliberate programs that will help in improving the lives of their athletes. In his response coach Dan Kabwe, briefed the minister that the club is managing the players’ lives by focusing on two folds; Professional and Personal Growth.

At the end of the meeting, Silver Strikers CEO presented Silver Strikers’ branded golf shirt and caps to the Minister.
