The Super league of Malawi says they will not entertain impromptu questions as clubs have two days to go to the Annual General Meeting in Lilongwe slated for Saturday 26th September 2020.

The AGM comes at a time football has been suspended for health reasons due to the coronavirus pandemic but SULOM says it is ready to brief clubs on the how they administered the league and discuss with clubs the way forward as per SULOM statutes.

Zac Nyirenda who is Vice-General Secretary of the league administrators says few clubs have proposed to SULOM the topics to be discussed at the AGM of which Nyirenda says is a disadvantage to clubs as  only issues presented earlier will be addressed having given stakeholders enough time to write the League.

Among issues to be discussed are progress on sponsorship talks with league sponsor TNM, broadcasting rights and progress of the commercialization drive by the Super League of Malawi. SULOM also eyes to hire a CEO for its secretariat which will only be possible if members vote for an amendment of the constitution as part of the commercialization drive.

Nyirenda has also called upon clubs to participate in deliberations that will be unfolding at the meeting which is the only way SULOM can get immediate feedback on how to run the league.

The AGM will also usher in a new legal advisor after the post became vacant last December following Muhammad Selemani going to the Football Association of Malawi as an executive committee member.
